With most of us spending 9 hours a day sitting at the desk. Virtually we all have gone through the lower back pain after that.
Not only the lower back is affected but hips are also affected.
We do feel rested in the seated posture but our spine is not in the restful state. Sitting relaxes almost all the muscles of our body except the ones that keep us from leaning forward and leaning over to the sides.
Pressure on the lumbar spine is significantly high in this posture.
The entire weight of the upper body places unbalanced pressure on the spine and the discs.
The muscles that are meant to support the lumbar area become overstretched and fatigued.
Thus potentially the lower back goes into spasm.
But this lower back pain can be prevented and protected by following certain physical stretching exercises on a regular basis.
To begin with follow the stretching exercises whenever you feel the discomfort while sitting.
Advisable 1 minute of exercise for every 30 minute of sitting.
